From January 2005 all new electrical work in dwellings became subject
to 'New Building Regulations Part P', enforced
by local building control authorities. Various
skill centres now provide training for Part P Certification.
Electrical installers should also possess at least
City & Guilds 2381 Wiring Regulations (16th Edition)
qualifications.
