| Application instructions |
Fibruco fibre can be added direct to a commercial mixing plant or added to truck mixers or site mixers
Paper bags containing 0.6kg or 0.9kg of fibre can be added to the mixer whole. The bags are made of soluble paper.
The dosage rate for typical concrete is 0.6kg/m3 of 12mm fibres. For concrete with a higher cement content we recommend an increase of 20% in dosage. For floor screeds we recommend 0.9kg/m3.
Dosage for mortars and fine grained concrete is 1-1.5kg/m3 of 6mm fibre, For mortars with a higher cement content dosage should be increased by 20%.
No special mixing techniques are required.
Use of fibres can reduce slump by 10% without affecting workability.
NOTE: Fibre reinforced concrete CANNOT be used as a substitute for structural steel reinforcement. |

Polypropylene fibres for secondary reinforcement of concrete, mortar and plasters
Fibruco polypropylene fibres have been developed to provide the most cost effective way of inhibiting early-stage plastic shrinkage cracking in concrete. After curing the fibres increase the durability and toughness of concrete producing a cost effective and superior alternative to wire mesh reinforcement. They are chemically inert and non-corrosive and are compatible with all types of cements and admixtures.
Fibruco polypropylene fibres are an advanced product containing calcium carbonate. This significantly improves anchorage of the fibres within the concrete matrix. They are also coated with a finishing agent to aid dispersion during mixing. They do not affect the formulation of concrete mixes, their pumpability, placement, finishing characteristics or setting times.
