Polypropylene fibres for secondary reinforcement of concrete, mortar and plasters
Kalcifil polypropylene fibres have been developed to provide the most cost effective way of inhibiting early-stage plastic shrinkage cracking in concrete. After curing the fibres increase the durability and toughness of concrete producing a cost effective and superior alternative to wire mesh reinforcement. They are chemically inert and non-corrosive and are compatible with all types of cements and admixtures.
Kalcifil polypropylene fibres are an advanced product containing calcium carbonate. This significantly improves anchorage of the fibres within the concrete matrix. They are also coated with a finishing agent to aid dispersion during mixing. They do not affect the formulation of concrete mixes, their pumpability, placement, finishing characteristics or setting times.
