Our aim is to provide a comprehensive
and valuable service to the UK Building Industry through
a directory of service and materials suppliers, a reference
section dealing with topical matters and a "useful
links" section having hundreds of external web-site
links.
In addition we are also developing "business-to-business"
and "business-to-consumer" e-commerce facilities to encourage
the purchase of building materials and services on-line. We are
also active in developing information links to companies providing
high technology solutions for the construction industry.
We are an independent company and resource our
Internet specialists from the UK. We are also working with Business
Link and have links to the SETsquared Bath University Innovation
Centre. SETsquared is a joint initiative set up by the Universities
of Bristol, Bath, Southampton and Guildford to promote early-stage technology
based high growth potential business in Southern England.
We have an account with WorldPay to ensure all our online
payment processes are secure and meet the latest UK and EU regulations for
card security and data management. When we take credit card details by phone
for later payment through the WorldAccess secure system, the conversation
is recorded - "Voice stamped". This ensures we have a secure record
of your order and requirements and a record of the PIN or special credit
card numbers printed (not embossed) on the back of your card. This significantly
reduces the probability of fraudulent use of your card.

Security Notice: Spam email has become
a major problem for some organisations so masterbuildersonline.com has
a policy not to display or embed in its publicly visible code any email
addresses to prevent email address harvesting by spam engines. Because
of this nuisance we have now removed our Forums pages and we are developing
a new, more secure email process to check all email leads sent to companies
through our site. In future these will be subject to checking by our
staff before being passed on. We have also taken measures to reduce
email "spoofing" - where spammers make it appear emails are coming from
legitimate companies - but it is currently technically impossible to
eliminate this completely.
To protect our database of registered companies, we have no direct Internet
links capable of updating or modifying our database of registered companies.
All changes to this data and all new registrations are subject to human
checking before our database is modified. By employing these and other
security measures we hope to provide a service that everyone can have
confidence in.
