Modern home and office solar heating systems are now proving more cost
effective in Southern areas of the UK. Another, and equally important application,
is power generation. Large photovoltaic arrays on buildings can produce
significant electric power. We are now building a database of suppliers
and information resources to cover this subject.
The UK Government has pledged £8.5m to encourage schools, houses
and commercial buildings to install solar panels and small scale renewables.
