This section deals
with suppliers who are dedicated to designing
and erecting new green sawn oak framed buildings.
It also includes building repair, renovation
and preservation specialists and those who can
sympathetically extend old buildings using reclaimed
timbers.
This section will be expanded to cover trades
and advisors who can help both the professional
and self-builder to achieve a successful project
and obtain the necessary planning approvals for
these interesting buildings. We also hope to
include links to other suppliers who provide
period interior second fixings, doors, windows
and other architectural items.
An important aspect of these buildings is the frame architecture itself and we wish to hear from specialists who can date and place traditional jointings, framings, notchings and carvings. Framing yards with these skills are invited to send photographs and we will publish these on the site.
